The Operator

I install L&D operating systems for enterprises that refuse to be a cost centre.

Competency frameworks, AI agents, and 90-day transformation blueprints — installed inside live enterprise L&D functions across BFSI, EdTech, Manufacturing, SaaS, and Maritime.

How I Got Here

Three moments, nine years, one discipline.

Vishnu Priya mid-thought, working through a framework at her desk

Where it started

First month at Accenture. I ran a React workshop. Strategic explanations, clean decks — delegates actually stayed awake. A consultant from IIT Hyderabad emailed after: ‘Can you teach me how you planned this?’ That email is why this website exists.

How I stayed current

One hour a day, every day, for nine years. No exceptions. Not because I’m disciplined — because the field moves fast and I refuse to be the person explaining last year’s playbook. I started on GenAI in Q2 2023 because that daily hour hit the new frontier.

Why AWP

Nine years in, six promotions, ₹1Cr P&L behind me — I was certain I’d keep climbing in-house. Then I watched too many friends sit through layoffs from L&D teams that were the first line item cut. I’m building AWP so the next L&D function isn’t middleware.

The Unpolished Version

Three failures I shipped before I trusted a framework.

Every consultant has a pristine case-study wall. Here’s the rest of mine — the engagements that taught me the system I sell now.

  1. 01 / 03

    The Ghost Town

AntWalk. Built a six-figure e-learning suite. Zero adoption. I’d skipped needs analysis because the brief felt obvious. It wasn’t. Every engagement since opens with a formal needs audit — even when the client insists they already know.

  2. 02 / 03

    The Skill Gap

WhiteHat Jr, then again at AntWalk. Trained teams on new tools. Completion hit 100%. Workflow change: zero. The training solved for the tool, not the job. I now design backwards from performance, not curriculum.

  3. 03 / 03

    The Tool Overload

Solverminds, then inside Vedantu. Shipped platforms so dense the compliance teams flagged them. Rescoped systems I’d championed. Now every tool goes through a 72-hour pilot before rollout. Friction kills faster than gaps.

The Craft Evolution

Every role shipped one system that outlived me.

6 companies · 9 years · 6 promotions. Not a CV. A craft map.

01 / 06

Accenture

2016 – 2018

Technology Consulting · L&D Ops

What I built

Strategic React workshop program. Delegates stayed awake.

What stayed

First L&D spark — an IIT-Hyderabad delegate emailed: ‘Teach me how you planned this.’ That email is why this site exists.

02 / 06

WhiteHat Jr

2019 – 2020

Senior Instructional Designer

What I built

Tutor competency framework across 120 roles at scale-up pace.

What stayed

Framework-first thinking. When the team triples in 18 months, only systems scale.

03 / 06

CodeTots · Japan

2020 – 2021

L&D Consultant · Cross-cultural ID

What I built

Bilingual curriculum deployed in Japanese market.

What stayed

First ID model that crossed continents. Culture is the hidden competency.

04 / 06

AntWalk

2021 – 2023

Director, L&D Strategy

What I built

Full-stack enterprise L&D function from zero. ₹1Cr+ P&L owned · 30–40% margins · 6 enterprise accounts.

What stayed

I’d trusted the framework for seven years before running ₹1Cr P&L. The bet paid because the system was tested, not the operator.

05 / 06

Solverminds

2023 – 2024

L&D Architect · BFSI + Maritime

What I built

Regulated-industry curriculum across BFSI + maritime verticals.

What stayed

NPS 85 across 600+ learners. Deep-vertical L&D is a different craft — regulation sharpens every deliverable.

06 / 06Current

Vedantu

2024 – present

Director, L&D Digital Transformation

What I built

AI-native L&D operator role. Part-time. Still operating inside L&D while building AWP.

What stayed

I practise what I consult. Every claim on this site runs in production somewhere.

9 years inside enterprise L&D · 6 promotions across 6 companies · ₹1Cr+ P&L owned at AntWalk · still operating inside L&D (Vedantu, part-time) while consulting via AWP. Not theory — lived work.

The Point of View

L&D is five years overdue a software-grade rebuild. The teams that do it first will own the decade.

Six claims I argue with CHROs, CFOs, and CEOs every week:

  1. 01 / 06
Consultants sell PDFs. Operators install engines.

PDFs gather digital dust. Engines run the business every Monday morning. I don’t ship decks. I install operating systems L&D teams use for years.

  2. 02 / 06
L&D is not a cost centre. Draw the line to revenue.

Every engagement ties learning spend to a board-level metric — attrition, time-to-productivity, upsell revenue. If the line to P&L isn’t drawable, the programme doesn’t ship.

  3. 03 / 06
Don't scale the team. Scale the leverage.

A 5-person L&D team running the right AI stack outships a 15-person team stuck in manual content. AI removes the bottleneck. It does not replace the operator.

  4. 04 / 06
    Kill eleven to ship three.

Ambitious AI-in-L&D programmes die on scope creep. Every engagement starts with a formal kill list — eleven good ideas shelved so three great ones reach production by Week 13.

  5. 05 / 06
Competency frameworks are operating systems, not HR busywork.

Framework statements are the shared language hiring managers interview against, performance reviews anchor to, promotion committees decide with. 3,000+ live statements shipped. Updated continuously. Not filed quarterly.

  6. 06 / 06
AI will not replace L&D. AI will punish L&D teams that don't operate it.

Every L&D function has 12–18 months. Teams that operationalize AI become capability infrastructure. Teams that don’t become middleware — the cheapest to cut.
